Letterpress Winter & Filigree Frame Embossing Folder

This Christmas Card today features some Holiday Mini Catalog items.  You have until January 5th to get all of your favorites from this catty!

The Letterpress Winter Stamp Set comes in Photopolymer for only $25.95 (pg. 21).  The Filigree Frame Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is shown on page 15.  It's a rule (with me anyway) that you just gotta collect all those StampinUP Embossing Folders! (smile)

Also, shown on page 15 in the HM is the Nordic Designer Buttons.  The biggest (and all white) button is the one on the front of this card.  Just finish off with a bow made of Whisper White Bakers Twine.

Thanks very much for stopping by my blog.  Please share with a friend or two that I post daily!  Lori

Bravo Stamp Set & Arrows Embossing Folder

This card I'm posting today was relatively simple and featured at a recent "Card Buffet" I had at my house.  If you would be interested in doing a "Card Buffet To Go", please let me know and I will get you the details.

I used the stamp set called "Bravo" for the words (pg. 133- Annual Catalog).  The arrows were actually cut out with the Homemade Holiday Framelit Dies (pg. 16- Holiday Mini).  The tall, skinny house is the one I used to cut all 5 of the arrow shapes on this card-- minus the chimney!!

On the Mossy Meadow pc. I used the Arrows Embossing Folder shown on page 226 in the AC.  Use the framelit for cutting the shape first, and do the embossing second.

Please let me know if you have any questions beyond my short explanation.  You may call me at 309-221-5241 or e-mail me at:  stampinfool2006@yahoo.com

Thanks for stopping by my blog.....now go stamp something!  LOL  Lori Helvick

Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack & Tree Punch

Today I have a Diorama Card to show (was on display at a Springfield IL event & not sure who made it- sorry).

Anyway, a couple of the featured items on this project are the Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack (pg. 7- Holiday Mini) and the Tree Punch (pg. 24).

A Diorama Card is REALLY simple.......just a matter of 8 score lines altogether!  (4 in the front layer and 4 in the back layer).  Of course a circle punch or circle framelit will make your opening.  You can even use squares and ovals for your opening as well.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone and welcome to my blog!

Today I have a cute TG card to share that I made a LONG time ago.  I think its an "oldie but a goodie" so hopefully you will agree.  Punch art cards can be SO effective!

Also, the new Santa Stache from the Holiday Mini was used to make this adorable box.  (Its even more adorable since it was given to me by a friend & holds M & Ms!)  Thanks so much Debbie K. for sharing with me......you are a good friend, and that was very sweet of you (no pun intended).

Let me know please if you have any questions about the 2 featured projects today.  I am  very thankful for all my friends, family, and customers out there.  Have a great holiday!  Lori

Wetlands & Maritime Designer Series Paper

Color scheme for todays card:  Coastal Cabana, Black and White

The Birthday Greetings verse came from Wetlands (pg. 172- Annual Catalog).  The 2 different patterns of paper both came from the Designer Series Paper called Maritime (pg. 187)

I did not make this card so I'm not sure which set the anchor stamp came from.  If anyone knows the answer to this, please let me know because I'm curious.

Color Me Autumn DSP & For All Things

For this fall card I used the Big Shot Autumn Accents Bigz Die shown on page 232 of the Annual Catalog.  After the fall shapes were cut out, I textured them with the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder.  Another Big Shot item I used was the Chalk Talk Framelits (pg. 230).

The words came from the set "For All Things" and the acorn paper came from Color Me Autumn DSP.  Both of these items are sold in the Holiday Mini Catty (pg. 41)

Please ask if you have questions about this card or any StampinUP supplies used.  Thanks- Lori

For the Birds Stamp Set & Northern Flurry

This Christmas Card was a class project a few weeks ago.  Color Scheme:  Cherry Cobbler, Basic Gray, White, and Marina Mist.

I used a strip of the Trim the Tree Designer Series Paper Stack (pg. 7- Holiday Mini).  I also used 4 jewels for just a little 'bling" in the snowflakes.  Of course the textured snowflakes are courtesy of the Big Shot Embossing Folder "Northern Flurry".

The little bluebird with the Merry Christmas verse came from the stamp set "For the Birds" on page 168 (Annual Catalog).  I used markers and a blender pen to color this image.

Squares Collection and Window Frames Collection of Big Shot Framelits were used for the white and cobbler pcs. of card stock (great for layering together!)

Please let me know if you have any further questions beyond my brief explanation.  I appreciate you stopping by my blog today.  Now go stamp something!!  Lori

Gift Box Punch Board makes cute Snowman!

This 3-D project today would make an adorable gift packaging idea for 3 small Christmas gifts to someone.  Debbie K. had this snowman idea on display at our last demo meeting, but I'm not sure who made it since I think she recd it in a swap.

At any rate, the 3 boxes were made from the "Gift Box Punch Board" shown on page 5 in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  I just think the whole idea is SO cute!!

Thanks for stopping by and enjoy your weekend........Lori Helvick

Maritime DSP & The Open Sea

I have another masculine card to share this time.  The Open Sea stamp set was used for the anchor, compass, and ship.  The Maritime Designer Series Paper was used for the 2 red squares (with the printed anchors on them).

Color Scheme:  Night of Navy, Real Red and White.

Thanks for visiting...........Lori Helvick

Lovely As a Tree & Hardwood- a great combo!

Thanks for checking out my blog today.  I really appreciate it.  This card makes a good masculine Birthday Greeting for the fall.

Color Combo includes:  Soft Suede, White, and Coastal Cabana

Stamp sets used:

Hardwood- page 175 Annual Catalog
Lovely As a Tree- page 173  AC
Itty Bitty Banners- page 79  AC

I used the Natural 5/8" Chevron Ribbon to make the ribbon loop on this card.  If you are not familiar with this product, please check it out on page 207.  Obviously, I used the back side this time which makes it like getting 2 ribbons for the price of one!!

The Big Shot Framelit Dies called Bitty Banners (pg. 230) were used to cut out the "happy birthday" verse.  No "fussy cutting" required when you have all the necessary tools (wink, wink).........

You may check out all the "necessary" tools by shopping my on-line store at:
www.createwithlori.stampinup.net

Please contact me with any questions or to place a StampinUP order.  I do have a "Grateful for You" ordering special going on right now.  Call me at 309-221-5241 or email me at:
stampinfool2006@yahoo.com for all the details of this special sale.  Thank you.......Lori

Confetti Stars Punch and Holiday Home

The Christmas Card share today was a class project a couple weeks back.  I used the Holiday Home stamp set from the Holiday Mini along with the Confetti Stars Punch.

Color Scheme:  Soft Sky, White, Night of Navy, Baked Brown Sugar and Old Olive.

I used the Word Window Punch for the "merry christmas" verse (from the Holiday Home set).  The old olive banner was cut out with the Big Shot Banners Framelits.

For the moon I simply used the 1 inch circle punch to make a mask & then sponged navy ink in the circle.  Please let me know if you have any questions above and beyond my explanation.

Thanks, now go stamp something!!  Lori

Pictogram Punches and Be the Star

There are 3 pics of this fold out card made by Bonnie A.  This project has a special name but I can't for the life of me remember it right now.  At any rate, a couple of years ago Bonnie & I made a flower card like this at a class and she just adapted the idea using stars instead.  Brilliant Bonnie! (she is my downline & I taught her everything she knows).  Not really...... she is forever teaching me instead, and I sure appreciate her great ideas.

Anyway, onto Bonnies' card.....she used the stamp sets Pictogram Punches, Be the Star, and Fabulous Four.  She also used some washi tape on the inside from the "Color Me Autumn" pack on page 41 in the Holiday Mini.

Bonnie's color scheme consists of the 2014-2016 In Color Collection (minus the Lost Lagoon).  The little pc. of ribbon on the front is found on page 207 in the big book (Hello Honey Stitched Satin).

Thanks SO very much for checking out my blog today.  Please tell a friend and come back often.  Lori Helvick- StampinUP Demo since 1999 and still having a great time!  :)

Fry Box Bigz & Endless Wishes

These Christmas projects today were made by fellow demostrators and I'm not sure who to give the credit to (sorry).  They were on display at our recent Peoria, IL meeting.

The 2 pics of the little santa box did not come out too clear but hopefully you can make out the general design concept.  The Big Shot Fry Box Bigz L Die is found on page 233 in the big catalog and made to hold 2 cookies I believe (in this instance).

The Christmas card below was made to look like a tree by using the stamp set "Endless Wishes" found on page 32 in the Holiday Mini.  I think this was made by Bonnie A. but not for sure.

If you have any questions about these 2 projects, please let me know & I will try to answer them for you.  In the event, I do not know something I can always post the questions to our demo group for discussion.

Again, thanks so much for checking out my blog today and everyday!!  I appreciate my loyal "lookers".  Lori Helvick

Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder & Window Frames Collection

The card today was made by a fellow demo & on display at our recent meeting in Peoria, IL.  I'm sorry I do not know who to give the credit to for this fall card.

Color Scheme:  Crumb Cake, Soft Sky and Vanilla

The background on the blue was made with the Big Shot Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder.  The pc. of card stock that has the hole piercing was cut out with the Big Shot Window Frames Collection.

I like this card and also want to take this opportunity to say I'm "thankful for my blog readers" !  I appreciate those of you who check out my blog on a regular basis.  Enjoy the card.......Lori Helvick

Festival of Trees & Washi Tape Gone Wild !

Todays Christmas Card features the stamp set Festival of Trees (Holiday Mini) along with the Tree Punch.  I also used 9- yes NINE strips of Washi Tape!

For those of you who know me probably know by now about my addiction to this sticky stuff called Washi Tape :)  In the current Holiday Mini Catalog (page 22) there is a great selection called "All Is Calm Designer Washi Tape".  There are 5 different designs in this pkg. set for only $7.95.  It's worth a look-see if you don't know what the heck I'm talking about.

I used some silver glimmer paper and some Lost Lagoon Silky Taffeta Ribbon on this card.  The ink for the trees is Pear Pizzazz with a little bit of the Lost Lagoon Marker on the center tree.

Got questions?.....I got answers.  Please e-mail me at: stampinfool2006@yahoo.com

Thanks for stopping.  Lori

Daydream Medallions & Wadded Up Paper ?

SAY WHAT?.......

This Christmas card was a class project last month.  Color Scheme- Vanilla, Pear Pizzazz, Mossy Meadow and Real Red.

I used the Daydream Medallions set along with its matching die set "Floral Frames Collection".  The background on this card was done with......yep, you guessed it-  wadded up paper!  It started with a mistake (extra ink on the rubber stamp edge).  We've all done that a time or 2 right?  Next time this happens to your creation and you get an unwanted ink mark someplace- just use some little wadded up pcs. of paper.  Simply take that little pc. of paper & dip in your ink pad and transfer to your card stock.  On this particular vanilla pc. I used a little Mossy Meadow and a little Pear Pizzazz.  Just have 2 little wadded up paper balls (1 for each color) & apply as needed.  You can add as much or as little ink as you want to get the 2-tone color background you desire!  Pretty nifty, and something we already have at home  :)   (added bonus)

And yes, in case you're wondering, I did mean to have my card going this direction!  I put the words on the side for something different, but you could always turn this same card in the vertical position and have the words on the bottom.

Any questions- feel free to e-mail me at: stampinfool2006@yahoo.com

Stay tuned tomorrow for some more "Mid-Month Markdowns"!  (some items from my retired StampinUP stash).  Thanks- Lori Helvick

Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits Die

Check out page 11 in the current Holiday Mini Catalog!  There are SO many cute ideas out there right now for the little box die called "Curvy Keepsake".  This project was made at a recent Holiday Stamping Event I attended in Springfield IL.

The tag says "HoHoHo" which comes from the Good Greetings Hostess Set.  I'm sorry for BOTH pictures being blurry but hopefully you can figure out the just of it.  Please e-mail with any questions you may have.

Thank you-

Diamonds are a girls' best friend ! (next to Wondrous Wreath of course)

I made this card a few weeks ago and you gotta love that bling right?  I used the stamp set Wondrous Wreath from the Holiday Mini and thought jewels would add a little somethin, somethin.  They say that "diamonds are a girls' best friend" and I would tend to agree!

Do you have your Christmas Cards all made yet?  I'm falling a little short with that as usual I'm afraid, but I will get them done sometime (I always do- just some years are later than others)......smile.

Thanks for checking in, now go stamp something!!  Lori

Beautiful Bunch & Matching Fun Flower Punch

This card has nice fall colors in it (Hello Honey, Mossy Meadow, Soft Suede)

I used the burlap ribbon to fray the left side & then saved the pulled out threads to make a cute knot out of.  (just a little tidbit for you)

The word window punch was used for the words.  The Fun Flower punch matches perfectly with the flowers from Beautiful Bunch (pg. 158)

The DSP is "Color Me Autumn" and on page 41 in the Holiday Mini.  I've been really using the heck out of this paper for the season.

Quesions??  You may get those answered my sending an e-mail to:
stampinfool2006@yahoo.com

Thanks-  Lori

Cheerful Tags by StampinUP

Today I have a little gift bag and Christmas card to share.  One was an actual project that I did at the Springfield Christmas Event in October and the other was a card sample......creator ???

On this bag, we used the Cheerful Tags stamp set shown on page 5 in the Holiday Mini Catty.  The bag itself is shown on page 6 and the "Under the Tree Tag a Bag Accessory Kit" is on page 7.  I think those tiny clothes pins are just stinkin' cute!

Thanks for blogging with me, and please remember to stop back often as I post daily!  Lori Helvick

Color Me Autumn Designer Washi Tape

This fall card was a class project last month.  If you live in the Peoria, IL area and would like to attend a stamping/card making class please let me know and I can get you my schedule.

The 2 leaves were stamped and "fussy cut".  The second diagonal strip from the top is actually designer paper and the other 4 strips were all made with Washi Tape. (Color Me Autumn-page 41 in the Holiday Mini).

I used the stamp set "For All Things" which is VERY popular right now for the fall season.  Also, I used a gold button on page 41 as well.  If you have a Holiday Mini Catty, please check out page 41......it seems everything on this card came from that page!  I used white and crushed curry card stock which of course can be found in the big catalog.

Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy the rest of your weekend!  Now go stamp something!  Lori

Kinda Eclectic & Merry Everything Tag w/ Box

The card I'm posting today was a class project of mine last month.  I used some bright & cheerful colors (Daffodil Delight, Tangerine Tango & Wild Wasabi).  The stamp set Kinda Eclectic is kinda one of my favs right now!!

The gift box is shown on page 10 of the Holiday Mini (Takeout Boxes- $5.95 for 6).  The tag was made from the set "Merry Everything" & the Cherry Cobbler Ribbon is on sale for $7.95 (pg. 7- HM).  Of course, I can answer any questions about other StampinUP products used on these 2 featured projects if you let me know at: stampinfool2006@yahoo.com

If you currently do not have a StampinUP Demonstrator, I would love to be yours!  You can interview me on the phone or on-line to see if we would make a good fit.  Please e-mail me with a catalog request as well, if you don't have our current two books.  Thank you.

Until next time........
Lori

Woodgrain Texture Emboss & Wondrous Wreath

This Christmas card I made is pretty simple, but just ask if you have questions.  The background was done with the Big Shot Embossing folder called Woodgrain.  The stamp set Wondrous Wreath from the Holiday Mini (page 9) was used for everything else.

Thanks for stopping by today!! Lori

Tree Punch saves the day! (but NOT the trees)

I made this card at a recent weekend retreat I was at.  Yes, the ribbon is retired but it's what I had with me!  :)

Color Scheme:  Old Olive, Pacific Point and Vanilla.

I used the Festival of Trees stamp set along with the matching punch that saved the day (because I did NOT have to "fussy-cut" those 4 trees-  smile).  The smallest tree was made with the very same Tree Punch (found on pg. 24 in the Holiday Mini).  You can make various sizes of trees with this punch so how cool is that?

Please let me know if you have any questions for me about this card sample or any StampinUP products.  Thanks very much for stopping by and please tell a friend about my blog.  Lori

Fall Fest and Wondrous Wreath

I have one fall card and one Christmas card to show today.  The fall pic is kind of blurry- sorry about that.  Hopefully, you can make out the 3 pumpkins and 4 leaves I cut out with the Fun Fall Framelits Dies.

The card was pretty simple since I did not have to free-hand (fussy cut) anything at all.  Colors used were Punpkin Pie, Chocolate Chip, Vanilla and Garden Green.

The next card has Wondrous Wreath for the featured set.  I love the verse on this card (Many Happy Moments.......).  You can view this set on page 9 of the Holiday Mini Catty.  The Nordic Noel DSP was used for the background on this card.

Thanks for blogging with me today.  Lori Helvick
