2 SU Bundles-- Flower Shop & Petite Petals

On this very flowery card today, I used Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight, Primrose Petals and White.

The green polka dot paper banner came from the Heartfelt Banner Kit (Sale A Bration).  I used the Flower Shop stamp and matching punch for the yellow flower.  The 3 small flowers were stamped with the set Petite Petals and punched out with that matching small punch.  Easy peasey!! And don't you just love those StampinUP Bundles!

I used part of a lace doily, candy dots, and the words from Teeny Tiny Wishes to finish off the card.  Also, I used the Big Shot embossing folder called Perfect Polka Dots for the yellow layer of CS.

Please let me know if you have any questions on todays card............Lori

Peaceful Petals and SAB Heartfelt Banner Kit

This card uses the color scheme:  Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana and White.

I used pcs. and parts from the Sale A Bration Heartfelt Banner Kit.  The small flower at the top comes from the mini catalog set Peaceful Petals.  I just used the big flower from that set and cut it down for the smaller portion.

I used some ribbon, a lace doily, and pearls for embellishment and that was that!

A Round Array & Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper

Todays card was inspired by Demo Patty B. and a different little fold.

I used the Big Shot Framelits called Deco Labels Collection.  The 3 candy dots add a little color to the bottom.  I also used the stamp set called A Round Array and the Watercolor Wonder DSP from the mini catalog.  I've used the heck out of this paper!!  The good news is we can still get this beautiful paper until June 1st!!  YIPPEE!!

If you have any questions about the card sample I'm showing here, please let me know.

Thanks-
Lori

Sale A Bration Heartfelt Banner Kit

Hello All...........I am alive, and very glad to be back to blogging!

For those of you who follow my blog on a regular basis, I do apologize for being MIA for a few days now!  (I do try to normally post on a daily basis).

I was sick, and had a surgery, and just felt like crap all week to be honest with you!  The last couple of days I have felt better, but could not get any computer access time to post.

Well.......IM BAAACK!!  Thanks for your patience and concern of those friends who know me.  It means a lot.

Anyway, for this card, the 2 pcs. of DSP-like paper actually came from the SAB FREE ITEM called Heartfelt Banner Kit.  I used 2 different SU Punches to spell out the word H-E-L-L-O.

The 2 small flower-like buttons are actually retired but I wanted to add a little somethin' somethin' to the corner.

Thanks for stopping by, and again, sorry I was out of touch.  Lori

I hope you enjoy the card today as Easter will soon be here.  This was a punch art swap we did a long time ago in our demo group.  It's fun to pull these ideas out for the different holidays.

Thanks for stopping by.

Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper & Petite Petals Bundle

This card was a recent class project.  (If you live in Central IL, please contact me for a class schedule).  One of these days I will update my website with my "calendar of events."  Until then, you can still visit my StampinUP website at:  www.createwithlori.stampinup.net

On this sample, I used seam binding and twine.  StampinUP punches were also used to create the layers with the flower image.  That flower came from the Petite Petals Bundle.  The striped DSP is called Watercolor Wonder.

Thanks for stopping by.  Lori

Welcome the Flowers of Springtime

Today I have a "Punch Art" card to share.  This yellow daffodil and tulips and all other spring flowers are most welcome after the harsh winter we had.

Enjoy!

Modern Mosaic Emboss Folder & Flower Shop Bundle

The card today was a Convention Swap made by Kjerstine Y.

She used the newest In Colors and White CS.  The Flower Shop Bundle is very quick to use.......just stamp the image and punch it out!  Kjerstine did this 3 times for the flowers and then used the Big Shot Embossing Folder called Modern Mosaic for the background layer.

Let me know if you have any questions please.  Lori

Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder w/ Washi Tape

I will start off by saying, yes this embossing folder is retired by StampinUP but it does not mean its retired by me! (Shhh, don't tell anyone!)

Anyway, the Stylish Stripes Emboss Folder was in the recent Holiday Mini and I just love it so still use it from time to time.  I saw awhile back where demo LeeAnn G. had used it with strips of Modern Medley DSP.  Well, I decided to do the same concept only with Washi Tape.

What do you think?  Have a good day.  Lori

StampinUP Designer Series Paper & Perfect Polka Dots Embossing

Today's card was a class project a long time ago but I wanted to show the layout because it is a good one I think.

I used 3 strips of DSP (now retired) but you can use any scraps of that you have on hand.  The stamped image in the center is also retired, but the current single stamp called Five-Way Flower (AC-pg. 85) could easily be a substitute.  I used  the Big Shot Embossing Folder- Perfect Polka Dots for the Olive CS square.

Anyway, the point is........a good card layout never goes out of style or retires!!  Please challenge yourself to go in your own "card sample box" and make an old card idea new again.  It's fun to change it up a bit while the basic concept stays the same.

Thanks for blogging with me!

Retro Fresh Washi Tape & Paper Piercing

This card sample has some great Springtime Colors in it..........Coastal Cabana, Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight and of course White.

I used my favorite accessory (Washi Tape) with 3 simple strips of various colors.  The bottom 2 strips come from the current mini catalog & its called Retro Fresh This & That Designer Washi Tape (pg. 19).  The top yellow strip is found in the AC- pg. 171.

I did some paper piercing on the top and bottom of the Washi Tape, just to add a little something.  Oh, and please take note of the butterfly at the top of the card.  I just put 2 little strips of Washi Tape on a scap of CS and punched it out using StampinUP Bitty Butterfly Punch.

The Six-Sided Sampler Stamp Set (say that 3 times fast) was used along with its matching Hexagon Punch.  I added some bling (7 jewels to be exact) and there you have it!

I hope you enjoy todays Springtime card.  Hey, this Winter is almost over!!

Top Note Bigz Die w/ a Lucky Leprechaun

Punch Art never retires!  Although StampinUP might retire some of their punches from time to time, this card still serves as a great idea for the holiday coming up on Monday!

Isn't this Lucky Little Leprechaun a cutie?  This card was a demo swap we did a LONG time ago for Punch Art and made by Amanda C. (who is no longer a demo).

If you have any questions about all the punches that Amanda used, please let me know.

Serene Silhouettes w/ Jewels

I'm posting an older class project that we did a long time ago.  If you are a customer of mine, do you remember this card?

Anyway, the color scheme is:  Island Indigo, Black and White.  StampinUP retired the smaller oval punch (white CS) but I still like to use it for layering with the larger oval (black CS).

The stamped image with birds came from the stamp set Serene Silhouettes (pg. 64- AC).  I did paper piercing in a circle around the top and put Jewels at every other hole.  If you have any questions about this card, please let me know.

Thanks for stopping!

Sale-A-Bration Petal Parade meets Pastels

This card was made with very soft pastel colors:  Wisteria Wonder, So Saffron, Pistachio Pudding and of course Whisper White.

I stamped several of the flower images first (Petal Parade) before running the white CS thru the Big Shot to add the texture.  I used the ever-popular Perfect Polka Dots Emboss Folder for this.

Very simple card to duplicate, and I hope you enjoy it.  Lori

Secret Garden and/or Backyard Basics?

This card was inspired by demo Margaret R.

I used the Natural Composition Specialty Paper (shown on pg. 150-AC).  I couldn't decide if I wanted to use the stamp set Secret Garden or the stamp set Backyard Basics so what the heck,  I used them both!

Guess what?........both those stamp sets have matching Big Shot Framelit Dies that cut out the stamped images exactly!  Pretty cool huh?  No worries about "fussy cutting" those flowers and backyard critters.

I used the new DSP called Retro Fresh and cut the ends of both sides by following the 3 scallop designs.  This DID involve a little "fussy cutting" but it wasn't bad at all to accomplish this look (thanks Margaret for that idea).

Stamp Happy!!  Lori Helvick

Honeycomb Emboss Folder & Six-Sided Sampler

This card was made with StampinUP punches (Bitty Butterfly & Hexagon).  The stamps came from the set called Six-Sided Sampler and the Big Shot Embossing Folder, Honeycomb was used.  The card stock is Whisper White and Pistachio Pudding.

Perfect Polka Dots Emboss Folder & 2 3/8 Scallop Circle Punch

"Keep It Simple Stupid" or KISS........have you ever heard that term used in stamping before?  Well, you probably have because it has been around for awhile.  Sometimes, while making cards you just have to go simple and easy when you don't have much time.

Todays card is very simple and can be made with any DSP scraps that you have on hand and any verse in the middle.  Put a couple jewels, pearls, or candy dots on your DSP banner cut and away you go.

Thanks for checking in today and please come back often.  Lori

Pansy Punch x 3 and Chevron Emboss Folder

This card swap I recd at Convention, and was made by Keisha S.

She used one of the stamps from Flower Shop along with the matching Pansy Punch and that equals......you guessed it-- the Flower Shop Bundle! (pg. 94 & 95 AC)

Keisha also used the Big Shot Embossing Folder called Chevron for one of the white CS layers.  Her color combo was:  White, Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay, and Daffodil Delight.

Have a good day.........Lori Helvick

A little "Washi Tape" w/ a whole lot of Label Love

Todays post was a case from Mary F. (some time ago).  It takes me awhile, but eventually I like to take a crack at some of her simple yet cute ideas.

I switched up my colors of CS and Washi Tape and this was the result.  I know I've mentioned NUMBEROUS times about my love for Washi Tape, but really--it is SO easy to use!!

The Label Love set is found on page 33 of the AC and you can get the matching Artisan Label Punch in the BUNDLE and save 15%.  I love StampinUP, and they have done a lot of great things in my soon to be 15-year career with them.  I have to say the whole concept of the "Bundle" rates right up there in my book!  Wouldn't you agree?

Anyway, if you have any questions about this card I made please ask away.

Daydream Medallions & Beautiful Wings Embosslit

Todays card is VERY simple.  Colors are: Vanilla, Tempting Turquoise, and Soft Suede.

The "thank you" came from the set called Sassy Salutations- pg. 39 AC.  I also used one stamp from Daydream Medallions (pg. 115).  The 2 butterflies came from the Big Shot Embosslit called Beautiful Wings.

Put a single jewel on the little butterfly and "bingo-bango" you are done!

Thanks for stopping by.  Lori

Card Base Pop 'n Cuts w/ Sketched Birthday

The featured project today is a gift card holder made with the Big Shot.  I used the StampinUP die called:  Card Base Pop 'n Cuts for the shape of the card holder and scored & folded the middle section to hold the gift card.

The stamped images come from the set called Sketched Birthday (pg. 13-AC).  Colors used:  Coastal Cabana, Crisp Cantaloupe, Baked Brown Sugar, and Whisper White.

Please let me know if you have any questions about the gift card holder idea.

Flower Shop Bundle & Blossom Punch

This card was a class project last month........

I used the Chevron Embossing Folder, Blossom Punch and the Flower Shop Bundle.  This StampinUP Bundle is shown on pg. 94 of the AC.  You can save 15% when you purchase the Flower Shop Stamp Set with the matching Pansy Punch.  What a great deal and a "must have" !

The square window in the gray pc. of CS was cut out by using the Big Shot and the Squares Collection of Framelits.  Very easy to do when you have all the "cool tools".

My color scheme used:  Rich Razzleberry, Daffodil Delight, Basic Gray and Vanilla.

Thanks, and Stamp Happy!

Label Bracket Punch & Decorative Dots Emboss Folder

I got my inspiration for todays' card from demo Mary B.  I left a couple things off my card, and switched my color combo.  (I used Whisper White, Calypso Coral, Soft Sky, and Island Indigo.)

Simply glue 8 of the punches (pg. 28, Mini Catalog-Label Bracket Punch) onto white CS.  The tricky part is getting them lined up just "so, so".  After you have them adhered the way you want, run thru the Big Shot Emboss Folder- Decorative Dots.  (This is a FREE item during Sale-A-Bration right now).  Questions about this promotion?.....please e-mail me at:  stampinfool2006@yahoo.com

The rest of the card is a pc. of cake with our StampinUP punches.  I used Label Bracket, 1 1/4 Scallop Circle, 1 inch Circle, Petite Petals, and Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack.  Finish off with 3 tiny pearls in the middle of your flowers.

Thanks for checking out my blog.  Lori Helvick
