Fun Technique when adding Ink to an Embossing Folder (Peace To You Stamp Set featured)

Hi stampers!! My color combo today consists of: Shaded Spruce, White, Night of Navy, and Gray Granite. I added some ink to the embossing folder BEFORE running it through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. (started out with white card stock)

Leaf Label & Amber Gem Combo Pack (Holiday Catalog) used on 2 Fall Cards

This November, I pause and reflect on the many blessings in my life! I hope you enjoyed your Thanksgiving festivities, and was able to spend time with loved ones.

Both of these fall cards were recent class projects this month so wanted to share.

On this creation, I used the following StampinUP products:

Joyful Flurry Bundle by StampinUP used today for 2 Christmas Cards

The colors used on this creation include: White, Highland Heather, Gorgeous Grape, Coastal Cabana and Pacific Point.

I did a fun technique using 3 different colors of Stampin Write Markers. Simply colored each section of a big acrylic block & then spritzed it with 70% rubbing alcohol. The colors will bleed a bit and make a cool background layer!

Versamark Ink & White Embossing Powder were used on this creation. I worked with the same jewels, embossing folder, stamp set & dies. Added some white bakers twine in a double bow.

Casing the Annual Stampin'UP Catalog for this Card Featuring Amazing Silhouettes Stamp Set

On page 72 in the current Annual Catalog, you will find a bright and cheerful card in yellow and pink. I did a black and white version with a "pop of color"!! (Bermuda Bay)

I used 2 of the stamped images in the Amazing Silhouettes set and added black ink to white card stock. Both the images showed through as being white outlined in black. Then I took a Blending Brush and added some Bermuda Bay sporadically.

I finished my creation off with white twine and white gems. The Amazing Thanks Dies were used for both the white and bermuda bay layers of the sentiment.

Texture Chic Designer Series Paper used on 2 Card Creations here......

I absolutely LOVE the featured paper today (shown on pg. 134- Annual Catalog). I used 3 separate pcs. on this card along with one strip of the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper.

The card base is Evening Evergreen and I used the same color ink for the "thanks".

On Todays Card I Used the Aspen Tree Dies to Emboss instead of Cut!!

My color combo for this creation includes: Sahara Sand, Crumb Cake, Cajun Craze, Early Espresso and a touch of GOLD!!

Did you know that you can use MANY of our detailed dies to emboss instead of cut an image? It's true, and exactly what I did on this card today. Here is how you would set up the "sandwich" on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine......

--Standard Base Plate #1 (do away w/ skinny Plate #2)

--Clear Plate

--Any die image w/ cutting edge facing up

--Card Stock on top of die

--2 (yes two) Silicone Craft Mats

--Clear Plate

Your chosen detailed die will emboss instead of cut!! VERY COOL HUH? (The Artistic Dies w/ the big flower shown on pg. 169 will work great for this technique too for example!!)

3 Card Swaps from fellow Stampin'UP Demonstrators to Inspire you Today!

This card was made by Kim Baker of Hennepin, IL. Her and I are both dog lovers, so this card speaks to both of us in a mutual way. Unlike Kim though, I must confess- I did NOT get the Christmas Scottie Bundle!! Shocker, right? The stamp set and punch are super cute though (pg. 34- Holiday Mini). Another shocker.....I just can't buy every cute & adorable product Stampin'UP entices me with!! lol

Another Stray Duckling friend, Terese Burdette from Mapleton IL brought this card to the demo swap a couple weeks ago. More stamps I do not own, but I can re-produce this "collage" look with a variety of things I have already, I'm sure. I like the color combo Terese used.

Sue Boerner from Normal, IL made this demo card swap. I really love this Rustic Harvest designer paper, and so much so I'm on my 2nd pack of it!! (smile) Thanks very much to Kim, Terese, and Sue for sharing their lovely creations, and I hope you got some ideas you can duplicate.
