Beautiful Bunch & Kinda Eclectic

This evening I'm posting a class project from a few weeks ago.  Color Scheme:  Strawberry Slush, Vanilla, Lost Lagoon, Mossy Meadow, Blushing Bride, and Hello Honey.

I used a total of 3 jewels and some of the Thick Bakers Twine found on page 207.  For the flowers I used Beautiful Bunch with the matching punch!  I also used my brand new favorite set called Kinda Eclectic.

This card was C.A.S.E.ed from Connie B. (demo from Ohio I believe).

Thanks very much for blogging with me today!  I appreciate your faithfulness.  Lori

Bloom for You & Project Life Grid Cards

Todays card features the Fun Flower Punch shown on page 219.  I also used the 7/8 in. scallop circle and the 1/2 in. circle punches in the center of the flower.

For the big flower itself, I used the single stamp called Bloom for You.  The grid paper is part of the Project Life product line & shown on page 188.  This paper was punched at the top with the Stampin'UP Spiral Border Punch.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today.  Lori Helvick

What's Your Type? - by Stampin'UP!

Today's card was a class project a couple weeks back.  Color Scheme:  Real Red, White, Marina Mist, So Saffron and Black.

I used the brand new set called What's Your Type? shown on page 160.  This was inspired by demo Mary B. and I thought it was a great card to show all these geometric shaped stamps!

The Happy Birthday verse came from a REALLY old stamp set from 1993 called More Great Greetings or Great Greetings or one of those!  I still have one of those sets around because I like to use the words from time to time.

Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY MONDAY!  UGH!!

Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack

The card today uses the Work of Art set in a different way.  I saw this idea someplace on Pinterest and sorry to say I don't know who to give the credit to.

I used the tiny flower punch from the "Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack" (pg. 222).  I just drew in the stems free-hand with a marker.  Also, I used the new Blendability Markers to color in the pearls on all the flowers.  Check out the make-shift butterfly!

Have a good weekend!  Lori

Star Framelits & Moonlight Paper Stack

Sorry I did not get a blog post in for Thursday.  I worked all day and then went to a fellow demos Post-Convention Party last night!  It was very fun, and thanks to Nikki L. for sharing ideas and products that she recd at Convention in Salt Lake City.

I did make 2 cards at the event last night and I will be posting those in a few days.  The star of the show last night however, was of course the New Holiday Catalog!  Ordering out of this "mini" (though it is pretty thick) will begin August 28th.  Please stay tuned on more details with this and if you would like to receive your very own copy, just let me know.  (if you are a regular customer and/or class attendee, you will get one automatically- no worries!)

Ok, onto the card post.........Color Scheme:  Blackberry Bliss, Sahara Sand, Honey Hello.  I used the Moonlight Paper Stack (pg. 185) along with the Squares Collection Framelits (pg. 231) and simply glued the squares side by side on White CS.  Once I had made a "Quilt Pattern" with several of the paper squares, I used the Star Framelits to cut the shape.  Clear as mud?

Also, I used the Modern Label and Word Window Punches for the words.  The Happy Birthday verse came from the "must-have" set Teeny Tiny Wishes (pg. 18).  Any more questions I can answer about this card, please post here or email:  stampinfool2006@yahoo.com

Thanks much-

Lori (Demo Since 1999)

Pictogram Punches

The brand new stamp set on page 89 was used on this project.  It's called Pictogram Punches and I used the moon, star, and "You're a Star" verse from this set.

Color Scheme:  Smoky Slate, Whisper White, Calypso Coral, Coastal Cabana, and Daffodil Delight.
(and a splash of silver glimmer paper).

I used the Star Framelit Die and the Large Polka Dot Emboss Folder.  I finished this card off with 3 jewels.  My inspiration came from demo Connie B.

Thanks for checking in today!  Lori

15 Year Anniversary Sale & Work of Art

Hello-

I started with StampinUP on July 28, 1999.  It’s been a VERY FUN ride & I truly have enjoyed it!  Some of my best friends now I met because of this business, and many I would not have known otherwise.  This great company has definitely helped me build some long-lasting friendships and also I have attained some very loyal customers along the way.  I’m extremely grateful for all the business I have gotten over the years, for my club members, and for all of my stamp class attendees.  You are all the best, and you have made my “side job” SO easy to keep going for 15 years now!  So let’s celebrate those 15 Years of Business with a BIG SALE shall we?

Here are the details…………….

1)      From now until July 29th (at midnight) all SU orders thru me will get a 15% savings!

2)      This will pertain to ANY orders no matter if you place it on-line yourself thru my website or if you contact me to do the ordering.  If you live far away or out of state, I recommend ordering at:  www.createwithlori.stampinup.net   The orders will be shipped to you directly this way thru my on-line stamping store.

3)      If you do place an on-line order, be sure to put your name on the order so I can get your 15% savings back to you in a check.  (a couple wks ago, someone placed an order that I did get credit for however, they did not list their contact info so I could not send a thank you.)  I have no idea who this person was, but THANK YOU (if you are reading this) and recently placed a $120 on-line order yourself!

4)      No matter if you only need 1 item right now or would like 10 things, you will still get 15% off the total BEFORE tax and shipping are added in.  The tax and shipping will be figured on the normal price though, before the discount is taken off.  I can help you with this if you are unsure.

5)      Don’t forget the SU sale going on right now until the end of the month.  They are offering “Buy 3 DSP and get 1 FREE”.  This is for all Designer Series Papers in the new catalog that are marked $10.95 each.

Please let me know if you have any questions, and THANK YOU AGAIN FOR 15 GREAT YEARS WITH STAMPINUP!  I hope I’m still around for 15 more!  J   Lori Helvick

Bloom for You Single Stamp & Fun Flower Punch

This is a Fun-Fold Card that was inspired by demo LeeAnn G.  She had made a baby card with the "Hinge" Gate-Fold concept, so I switched mine up to be a flower card & changed the colors accordingly.  My color scheme:  Vanilla, Hello Honey, Blackberry Bliss, and Mossy Meadow.

I used the dotted stamp from Perfect Pennants (pg. 16) for the top & botton of the card.  The verse came from A Dozen Thoughts (pg. 108).  The single flower stamp is called Bloom for You (pg. 139) and was punched out with the matching Fun Flower Punch (pg. 219).  The 2 leaves were also punched out with this punch.

I used the Square Framelit Dies and the Stylish Stripes Emboss Folder for the outside square frame (it might be hard to see this embossed pc.).  I think this project turned out pretty cute but the 3 pictures don't really do it justice.  It's kind of hard to tell whats what, so please ask if you need instructions.

Thanks for stopping by today, and please ck back on Tuesday for a SPECIAL DISCOUNT OFFER from me, Lori Helvick...........

Wetlands and Work of Art by StampinUP

Today's card features Whisper White, Mossy Meadow, Hello Honey and Black Staz On.

I used the stamp sets called Wetlands (pg. 172) and Work of Art (pg. 165).  Check out the new In-Color ribbon I used- shown on page 207.

This card is very simple but would make a great "Man Birthday" !  What do you think?

That's all from me today!  Now, go stamp something!  (smile)

Be the Star & Another Peek-A-Boo Card

Awhile back I was playing with my "stars" (star set, star framelits, star punch etc.) & I came up with today's creation.

This is called a Peek-A-Boo card and I made another example of this on May 5th if you want to go ck out the post titled "Peek -A-Boo Card- Serene Silhouettes".  I got the concept for the fold etc. from demo Meg L. back in April before I went to the New Catalog Premiere.  The card post on May 5th was a swap for my special friends who attended this event with me.

Anyway, the colors I used were Hello Honey, Blackberry Bliss and Vanilla.  I used the stamp set called "Be the Star" and the emboss folder called "Decorative Dots".  I also used some punches and finished this card off with a couple jewels.

Thanks for stopping by..........Lori Helvick

It's been a long week so that's all I've got!  Lori

StampinUP Set- Kinda Eclectic

This set is quickly becoming by new favorite of all my recently acquired additions!!  It's VERY fun to play and create with.

Today's card was a class project recently and pretty easy peasey!  Please ask if you have questions.

Gold Soiree Paper by StampinUP

This was a class project last week.  Color Scheme:  Pistachio Pudding, White, Garden Green, Calypso Coral and Crisp Cantaloupe.

I used the brand new small flower punch from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack (pg. 222).  The Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch (same page) was used for the pc. on the right side.

In the picture below it kind of looks like I colored the pearls but I did not.  The 5 pearls are just normal and left un-colored.  The verse comes from the "Lots of Thanks" set on page 150.

Thanks for looking!  Lori

Big News & Be the Star Sets by StampinUP!

Today I have a "Penny-Spinner" card to share with you.  Say what??  That's right, the big star on this card will spin around the circle track just by having 2 pennies and 2 dimensionals attached to the bottom.  Very fun!!

The circle track was made by using our Circle Framelits of course & the big star was cut out with the Star Framelits.  The 3 tiny brown stars were punched out with the star punch in the "Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack" (pg. 222).  I used Crumb Cake Card Stock for this project with a splash of Chocolate Chip.

The words come from the set called Big News and the images are from Be the Star set.  I did a little sponging around the circles and the outside edges as well.

Are you still curious about this "Penny-Spinner" card?  Please send me an e-mail to:
stampinfool2006@yahoo.com    I would love to hear from you and answer your questions.

Arrows Embossing Folder & Chevron Border Punch

The card today was a class project awhile back.  Color Scheme:  White, Hello Honey & Night of Navy.  I also used some vellum for the middle flower from the Flower Shop set.

3 different sizes of flower punches made the images come to life in a snap!  (or a punch) LOL.  I put one tiny pearl in the middle of the Petite Petal image to finish that off.

The words came from Teeny Tiny Wishes and the textured section of the white was made with the Arrows Embossing Folder.  The Chevron Border Punch was used to get the navy arrows all lined up in a row.

Thanks very much for stopping by, and please tell a friend that I post daily!  Lori

Hostess Set- Nuts About You & Event Calendar

This card sample was made by Nikki L. and she made great use of 3 of StampinUp 's Ribbons (Linen Thread, Venetian Crochet Trim, & Mossy Meadow Stitched Satin.)

Nikki also used the Hostess Set called Nuts About You (pg. 239).  I don't have this set but it's kind of fun and whimsical.  I love how the bottom of that piece was made to look like an acorn!  Thanks for sharing Nikki.

If you have any questions about today's posted card, please ask.  Lori

World of Dreams by StampinUP!

This sample today was a card swap I rec'd from Debbie K. of Sterling IL.

Please take a look at the stamp set World of Dreams found on page 127.  I don't have this set yet but it's on my "Wish List".

I like the way Debbie used markers on the bird and tree branch image then cut the piece out with our Oval Framelit Dies.  She also frayed the edges of the Burlap Ribbon & made a little knotted pc. on top with those threads.  Very clever!

Thanks to Debbie for sharing, and thanks to you for stopping by my blog today.  Lori

Flower Shop, Petite Petals, & Card In A Box

These 2 projects were both made by Nancy L. & I took pics at our recent demonstrator mtg. in Peoria, IL.  Didn't Nancy do a great job with these flowery creations?

I have seen several of these projects called "Card In A Box" before, but I have yet to make one myself.  Nancy used the Flower Shop set, Petite Petals set, and the 2 matching punches that go with those flowers.

Thanks SO much Nancy for sharing your time and talents at our meeting.  I appreciate all your efforts!

Beautiful Bunch & Fun Frames

Todays card was made by Nikki L. and inspired by Connie B.

Nikki used the stamp set called Beautiful Bunch (pg. 158).  She also used the Zig Zag Embossing Folder and the Fun Frames (both shown on pg 227- one right on top of the other in the book).

It's a very pretty card, and I'm very tired so please ask me any questions you may have!  Thanks for your understanding, but it was a busy Monday at work!

Outside The Box Work Of Art

The 2 cards I have to show you today are both using the new stamp set called "Work of Art".

The first card was made by Nikki L. and the second card was made by me.  Nikki created a little sailboat which I think is very cute, and she was really thinking "outside the box" on that one!  Some people have definitely used this set for many cool things!  If you own it, you should play around and see what you can come up with too.  Let me know!

For the 2nd card, I used the Serene Silhouettes for the bird image.  Color Scheme:  Canjun Craze, Black, White and Hello Honey.  I  C.A.S.E.D this card from somewhere but I'm sorry I can't remember the creator.  Fall will be here before we know it, and then this card will be right in season.

Thanks for stopping by........Lori Helvick

World of Dreams & Daydream Medallions

I'm sharing a couple more card swaps that I rec'd at our recent demo mtg. in Peoria IL.  If you are a StampinUP Demonstrator in Central IL you are welcome to attend our next meeting on Sept. 6th.  If you are not a demo, but would like to find out a little more about SU and what we do, please contact me and I can answer any of your questions.  :)

Ok, on to the cards now.......The first card was made by Mary B. of Sterling and features the brand new stamp set called "World of Dreams".  Mary used Black and White CS  with a little color from the stamped images mixed in.  Bless her heart, she even used her sewing machine to do some stitching- very ambitious of you Mary!  Thanks for your creative idea.

The 2nd card was made by Lonna S. of Galesburg, and features "Daydream Medallions" which is very fun to play with!  Lonna used some of the 2013-2015 In Colors (Baked Brown Sugar, Pistachio Pudding, & Crisp Cantaloupe).  The texture background was made with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder.  God bless Lonna for sharing her time and talents with us!

If you have any questions about either of these cards, please e-mail me at:
stampinfool2006@yahoo.com  or leave a post here.  Thanks-  Lori

Patriotic Work of Art

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY EVERYONE!!

I've always loved the Red, White, and Blue color scheme and the 2 cards today showcase those colors very nicely.  I'm not going into too much detail about them because they are pretty self explanatory.  Work of Art set, star punch, and star framelits!

Have a very safe and happy holiday!  Lori

Decorative Masks (Stencils)

Today I have 2 cards to show with stars since it's the right time of year to showcase them!  The first card swap below was made by demo Wilma M. and she used one of the Decorative Masks shown on page 205.  She also used the new 1/4" white cotton ribbon shown on pg. 207.  The verse Wilma used on her swap came from the Lots of Thanks set (pg. 150).  Lots of thanks to you Wilma for your inspiration and for participating in your very first Demo Swap!!  :)

The 2nd card below was made by me, but created by Mary B. from Sterling.  The set of course is Work of Art.  This was another card we made when we went to the "Card Buffet" at Debbie's house a few weeks back.

Remember everyone......

Please give or send someone a hug today!

Easy Peasy Work of Art

I made these 2 card samples with the ever-poplular Work of Art stamp set (pg. 165).  The first one below is about as easy as they come!  If you had to make 50 Thank You Cards really fast, this would be the way to go.

Please ck below each picture for colors used if you are wondering about that.  Thanks for stopping by today, and pop in tomorrow for some more demo mtg. swaps.

Something for Baby & Baby's First Framelits

This demo meeting card swap today was made by Avis J. and it's "pretty in pink" isn't it?............OOPS, sorry retired SU color (LOL).  It does make a cute baby girl card though.

Avis used the Something for Baby stamp set on page 74 and the Big Shot Framelit Dies called Baby's First shown on page 230.

Stamp with a smile and happy blogging!  Lori
