"Flying Home" Stamp Set from Occasions Catalog is Retiring Soon!

I like how Linda made use of the Burlap Ribbon under the nest!

"Hold On To Hope" & "Waterfront" Stamp Sets from Occasions Catalog are both sticking around!!

All 4 of the card swaps today come from the recent StampinUP event in Milwaukee.

I took photos of other gals' swaps, so I do not have any names of the artists unfortunately.

The Hold On To Hope set & matching Framelits will be carried over to the new Annual Catalog.

Here is the same stamp set I just mentioned.

Though, I do not own this I might just have to buy it now since it's sticking around : )

The beautiful 3/8" Silver Metallic-Edge Ribbon is coming back as well.

The Waterfront Stamp Set is another one that I really like, but

do not have YET!! Yay, I'm glad it is not leaving.

This stamp set makes some fabulous scenery cards, & it makes you feel like an artist.

And last but not least, the final swap to show today.

Again, I can see where this Waterfront Set would be really fun.

The Stitched Shapes Framelits are returning as well

as the Seaside Embossing Folder. Another couple great items!!

Check Out Some Punch-Art.....Gotta Love Snoopy on his Doghouse!!

I totally CASED todays card, but isn't this beagle adorable?

(sorry, I can't remember who I copied Snoopy from!)

We made this card in a recent class, and I think the gals enjoyed the punch art.

For ease at class, we used retired oval punches but you could easily use oval dies.

For the Snoopys dog house, we used the "Seaside" and

"Simple Stripes' Embossing Folders.

Yes, both of these Big Shot Emboss Folders will be in the new catalog!

For the grass, we just randomly fussy cut a pc. of Wild Wasabi.

The card base is Soft Sky & then Real Red, Black & White were also used.

Both Wild Wasabi and Soft Sky from the Subtles Collection are retiring!!

Don't forget to get your card stock supplies and ink refills for those

2 colors as well as the following:

Always Artichoke, Elegant Eggplant, Island Indigo, Perfect Plum,

Rose Red, Chocolate Chip, Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise,

Join the "Technique Tuesday" Blog Waddle w/ Stray Ducklings-- Watercolor Wash Featured Here......

I SHARE MY PASSION FOR STAMPS, INK & PAPER WITH A SPECIAL FLOCK OF LADIES CALLED THE "STRAY DUCKLINGS". WHENEVER WE'RE TOGETHER, FEATHERS FLY BECAUSE OF ALL THE FUN WE HAVE!!

I used the "Happy Birthday Gorgeous" Stamp Set .

My color combo includes: Calypso Coral, Rich Razzleberry, Old Olive, Sweet Sugarplum, White

How I did the "Watercolor Wash" Technique on my card.....

Using an Aqua Painter, spread a generous amount of water onto a piece of Shimmery White Card Stock
Use a Stampin'Write Marker (color of your choice)
Simply use the brush tip of the marker and scribble your desired amount onto a plastic baggie (sandwich or quart size)
Place colored baggie onto previously "washed" card stock and smoosh color around as desired.
If water "pools", lightly dab dry with a kleenex or paper towel.
LET DRY!!
Adhere dried watercolor wash panel to other layers and finish decorating your card as you wish.

"You've Got This" Stamp Set is Retiring Soon! Also, a few more On Stage Photos

We had a couple tables at the On Stage event where

some of our Stray Ducklings Demo Group were sitting.

Happily, a couple ducky mascots came along on our trip.
They waddled right along side us all the way from Peoria to Milwaukee : )
