Woodgrain Embossing Folder & Owl Builder Punch

This cute birthday card today was made by Mi Ran Bigrigg and it was a Late Night Stamper Swap I recd in July @ Convention.

I like how she used the 2 1/2 Circle Punch to make the hole and look like a tree.  The Big Shot Woodgrain Embossing Folder really gives a great tree-bark effect.  The Owl Builder Punch is cute with the design on his chest.  This was made by using the Betsy's Blossoms set.

If you have any questions about any SU products used on todays sample, please let me know.  Thank you very much for visiting!  Lori

Painters Tape Technique & Fine Feathers

The 2 cards today were made by using Painters Tape or Masking Tape to get the colorful backgrounds.  The card on the left uses the stamp set called Fine Feathers on page 75 in the Annual Catalog (AC).

Both of these cards I recd as Convention Swaps.  The one with the feathers was made by Melva of Canada and the other swap was made by Stephanie (sorry no more details on her).

If you would like to try the Painters Tape Technique on your own, please e-mail me at:
stampinfool2006@yahoo.com for the details.

A Round Array & Punch Art Camera

Hello all......today I'm featuring a class project that I used a couple months ago.

This camera was "cased" from another demo, but I cannot remember who at this point (sorry).  I used some punches and some Designer Series Paper.  Also, the big shot embossing folder called Chevron was used, and the stamp set A Round Array found on page 126 in the AC (annual catalog).

If you have questions about the camera card, please e-mail me at:  stampinfool2006@yahoo.com

Clear Mount Stamp Cases

Just wanted to share a Christmas Gift Idea that I used a couple years ago.

I made a "Calendar of Cards" using one of the Clear Mount Stamp Cases shown on page 197 in the big catalog.

The recipient really enjoyed getting a hand-stamped card from me every month that they could in turn send to a special someone on their card mailing list.  One month, I might have sent a baby card, and the next month a birthday or thank you card etc.  Any month with a holiday (like October) I would send in this case a Halloween card.

This is the perfect gift to consider for those ladies on your Christmas List who already have everything and are difficult to buy for.  Everyone sends out greeting cards from time to time, and if they have homemade cards to send to someone else, it is even more special.

Please let me know if you have any questions after looking at the following 4 pics.

Thanks very much for stopping.  Lori Helvick

StampinUP Christmas Star Single Stamp

This Christmas Card uses Navy and White CS and Silver Ribbon.  The big star is one of the single stamps that SU is selling right now and is simply called "Christmas Star".

Both the star and the Christmas verse were embossed with silver powder.  I also used the new Big Shot embossing folder called Stylish Stripes from the Holiday Mini (pg 22).  I put 3 jewels on this card for the "bling effect" and that was it!

Pocket Card with Envelope Liner Framelit Die

I made this pocket card using Festive Flurry and Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I also used the Envelope Liner Framelit Die on pg 37 in the Holiday Mini (the middle size of 3).

I had seen this idea from someone else and they made a fall version with leaves.  I changed it up a bit to use the snowflakes and made a winter version.

Hope you like the idea.  Please ck back on Saturday (Nov. 16th) for another "Saturday Super Stamp Sale"!  I have not posted any retired items on sale for a few weeks now, so thought I would bring it back and do it around the middle of each month.

Thanks for checking out my blog.

Festive Flurry and Lovely As A Tree

I have 3 Christmas Cards to share today, and all were made by Sheryl D. of Morton IL.

Two of these cards feature the StampinUP set called Festive Flurry shown on page 30 in the Holiday Mini.  The 3rd card used the "oldie but goodie" set called Lovely As A Tree.  Wow, has that stamp set ever been around a long time!  If you don't own that, you should think about adding it to your collection.

Enjoy the 3 card samples today and thank you Sheryl for sharing your ideas.

Please ck back on a regular basis and thanks for stopping.  Lori

Envelope Punch Board, Winter Frost DSP, & Silver 1/8 Ribbon

I had a lot of fun making this Christmas Card sample.  I used the brand new StampinUP Envelope Punch Board to make the tab.

The beautiful background came from page 29 in the Holiday Mini and is called Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Of course, I just had to use the snowflake from the Festive Flurry set.

I used some of the shiny Silver 1/8" Ribbon for the top flap.  Also, I used some of the rhinestones to finish off the card.  Hope you like it.

Thanks for stopping by.........Lori Helvick

Christmas Messages Sample Was Picked!

I'm kind of digging this whole blog thing!  A demo from Canada, Josee Smuck, has picked my card to feature on HER blog!  Once a week, she does what she calls "My Crafty Friends Monday".  Josee was looking to spotlight the stamp set called Christmas Messages, and found my card to include in her picks.

Please ck it out...........

Natural Composition Specialty Paper & Tasteful Trim Bigz Die

and Mosaic Madness!

Todays Christmas card was made with those 3 StampinUP products.  (Also, the Mosaic Punch and the Perfect Polka Dots Emboss Folder).  You can get the matching stamp set and punch when you order the Mosaic Madness Bundle at a 15% savings (page 123).

I used Rich Razzleberry CS and Vanilla as well.  Linen Thread was used to make the "ornament look" for the 3 punched images.

The Natural Composition Specialty Paper is found on page 150 of the big catalog and the Tasteful Trim Bigz Die is on page 192.  It is a pretty simple card to follow, but if you have any questions please let me know.

Stamp Happy!   Lori

Square Lattice & Modern Mosaic Emboss Folders

I love using the Big Shot to emboss backgrounds for cards.  This Christmas card idea uses both the Square Lattice Folder and the Modern Mosaic Folder.

Card stock colors are:  Whisper White, Soft Suede and Rich Razzleberry.  The verse came from the stamp set Petite Pairs and the other set used is Mosaic Madness.

Once in awhile it is nice to used other colors for Christmas cards besides red and green.  Wouldn't you agree?  Hope you like today's post.  Lori

Gold Metallic Encore Pad & Festive Flurry

The snowflake from the Festive Flurry set really POPS when it is heat embossed!  The picture is kind of blurry but the Gold Metallic Encore Pad was used on this card and clear embossing powder.

Stamp, put on the powder, heat set, and bingo-bango it turns shiny gold!  Then the flake was cut out using the Big Shot Festive Flurry Framelit Die.

Hope you like this card made by Sheryl D. again.  Thanks for the inspiration Sheryl.

Simply Scored Scoring Tool

This Christmas card was made by Sheryl D. and on display at our recent Stamp A Stack in Morton IL.  She used the Simply Scored Scoring Tool by StampinUP.  This product is shown on page 178 in the currect catalog and has some cool accessories also shown on that same page.

To order this product or any other SU item, you may visit my StampinUP website at:
www.createwithlori.stampinup.net  and go to the Shop Now button on the top right hand corner.

The sample that Sheryl made is very quick, simple, and duplicatable!  Let me know if you have questions and/or comments by sending an e-mail to:  stampinfool2006@yahoo.com

Season of Style Designer Series Paper

This cute gift card holder was made to look like a package wrapped up with a bow!  Sheryl D. of Morton IL had this as a sample at our recent Holiday Stamping Event.  She used the Season of Style Designer Series Paper that is in the Holiday Mini book.

Let me know if you need instructions in order to duplicate this.  THX- Lori

Circle Card Thinlets Die & Northern Flurry

This is a quick and simple Christmas Card to duplicate if you have one important Big Shot Item.......the Circle Card Thinlets Die!  The snowflake is on one side, and your Christmas verse would be on the other side of the circle when it flips open.

The Northern Flurry Embossing Folder was used to make a neat textured background, and goes great with the snowflake from the Festive Flurry set.  Please let me know if you need card stock colors or further help.

Thank you-
Lori

Envelope Punch Board- Christmas Tags

Recently I made 3 Christmas Tags that I will be using for gifts this Holiday Season (notice names already filled in).  That means I have to get them a present right?  Maybe they would be happy with just the tag.......ok, yeah- doubtful.

Anyway, I used the new StampinUP Envelope Punch Board to make some fancy corners on these tags.  Pretty easy once you know the tricks.  Send an e-mail to:  stampinfool2006@yahoo.com or call me at 309-221-5241 and I will be happy to explain.

Enjoy.......

Gift Bow Bigz Die from StampinUP

I mentioned our Holiday Stamp A Stack yesterday and wanted to show you one of the 3-D items the attendees got to make.

This very cute little angel can be used on a card, as a tag for gift or bag, or would make a great tree ornament!  This is a little different sample, but the project yesterday used the Season of Style Designer Series Paper. (pg 23- Holiday Mini).  The main item used was the Big Shot item called Gift Bow Bigz Die (pg. 37- Holiday Mini).  Circle punches and the Word Window Punch are used as well.

Thanks much for visiting.  Lori Helvick

Envelope Liners Framelit Dies- Snowman

Wow, its been a very busy couple of days so I have not done a post since Thursday!  (sorry about that).

3 of us Demos did a Holiday Stamping Event in Morton IL so I was getting ready for those projects.  One of the samples that I showed there was a very cute card made out of the middle size Envelope Liner Framelit Die. (that is a set of 3 & on pg 37 in the Holiday Mini)

I also decorated the white standard envelope for the Snowman Card using the same liner (middle size) and the Winter Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Cute little guy huh?

If you have any questions about how I did this, please e-mail me at stampinfool2006@yahoo.com

Thanks for stopping by, and enjoy the rest of your weekend.  Lori
