STAMPIN UP SWALLOWTAIL SINGLE STAMP

A couple samples to show using the StampinUP Swallowtail Butterfly Stamp--

The first card was made by my friend and fellow demo Nancy L.  We spent a very long BUT fun week together at SLC during Late Night Stampers Events and Convention.  Colors include: E. Espresso, C. Cake, P. Point and White.  Thanks Nancy for a great card idea!

The 2nd card was made by me, yours truly, at a class a few months back.  The very huge butterfly was embossed & colored in w/ markers.  Colors include:  D. Delight, Navy, and White.

If you like my class card, and live in Central IL, please ck out all my stamping events I have coming up.  I recently updated my SU Website to reflect my schedule for the next couple of months.  You can view that at www.createwithlori.stampinup.net under the events tab.  Please consider attending one if you are close, or long-distance folks can ck out my "Stamp of the Month" Club to get inspiration mailed to your doorstep!

CLOCKWORKS- By StampinUP

Have you heard about my "Stamp of the Month Club" ?

STAMP SET + COMPLETED CARD SAMPLES = INSPIRATION IN YOUR MAILBOX !!

Both beginner and novice stampers can benefit by adding a new stamp set to your collection every month. Along with each stamp set, you will get 3 finished projects using the featured set each month. You are sure to be inspired by these actual cards, NOT just the kits. I will include a "recipe" each month so you can use your own supplies to dupicate the cards on your own if you choose or of course you may order supplies at anytime if needed. (Participants will get a free gift from me if they order anything on the supply list after receiving your projects).

In summary, you will receive a pkg. in the mail that includes:

* Stamp Set of the Month- clear mount set valued between $14.95-$ 18.95

* 3 Handmade cards completed for you with the featured stamp set

* Recipe for supplies needed to duplicate at a later date

My new Stamp of the Month Club will cost $30 a month which will include the above items and of course the shipping. When you participate in 3 consecutive months, you will get $5 off the 4th month. You can join anytime and opt out at anytime you wish.

I would like to get this new program up and running in August and the first stamp set picked is "Clockworks" on page 109 in the current catalog. If you do not have a new catty, please let me know and I can get you one if you join the club. (For now, I could just send you a picture of the featured set so you will know what it looks like.)

The good news is, if you already have this set or do not care for it, you can substitute. The Clockworks set is $17.95 in clear mount so you can pick another set for equal or lesser value if you choose to take advantage of this option.

If you would like to participate, please mail $30 to Lori Helvick, PO BOX 68 Mapleton, IL 61547. All payments must be received by August 10th, and then I will order all the stamp sets after that and get things mailed out once the order comes in. If you have any questions, please let me know and I hope to hear from you soon.

Thank you very much-

Lori Helvick

Paper Pumpkin Promotion & Pleasant Poppies

Have you heard about the deal going on right now with StampinUP's "Paper Pumpkin" ?
Use the promo code PUMPKIN DEAL to join Paper Pumpkin before August 31st, & pay only $10 a month for the first 2 months.

For more details & to find out just what "Paper Pumpkin" is, go to stampinup.com and if you decide to sign up, you must go to mypaperpumpkin.com to join.  Any questions, just let me know.

Now, are you ready for the card samples?  Today I'm featuring the single stamp "Pleasant Poppies".
The first card is using Vanilla and Pistachio Pudding CS, Honeycomb Emboss Folder, and the brand new Hexagon Punch.  The creator, Lesley from Canada, stamped the flowered image and then punched out the pcs. for a different look on the card.  Kind of cool, eh?  (Get it......she is from Canada, eh?)

Moving right along to the 2nd sample......this Convention swap does not have a name on the back so could not give credit to anyone.  They used Raspberry Ripple, Black, and white CS and of course the poppies.  I have no idea which butterfly stamp was used before being punched out.  I think it must be retired because I could not find it in the current book.  Anyone have ideas for which set was used?
(oops, posting issues- please see above pics)

Clay Molds- #2

I made this card awhile back, when playing with the Simply Pressed Clay Molds.  Colors used:  Smoky Slate, White, Strawberry Slush and Crisp Cantalope.  Please let me know if you need more details other than that.

Thanks and Happy Monday!

Simply Pressed Clay Molds

I thought I would start showing some of my convention swaps I recd in Utah.  If I know who made the card sample, I will give them credit for the idea.

The below sample was made by Debbie of Sterling, IL.  I met her while standing in a VERY long line to mail a card and try to break a Guiness World Record.  SU did break that record by sending almost 3,000 cards from one location in a 3-hr. time period.  It was very fun and rewarding to be a part of that.

Now, on to the card that Debbie made....... She used the Simply Pressed Clay Molds to make the little flower and then colored it with Crushed Curry ink and a sponge dauber.  Other new StampinUP products she used includes: Chevron Ribbon, Smoky Slate CS, Lots of Thanks Stamp Set, & Beautifully Baroque Emboss Folder.

You may order these products by visiting my SU website at www.createwithlori.stampinup.net
Also, please ck out my event calendar if you live in Central IL as I recently updated all my classes.

Thanks Debbie of Sterling for your inspiration !  :)           Lori
